Across 30 legendary pavé sectors spanning roughly 54 kilometres, smooth tarmac gives way to centuries-old farm tracks where bike handling, line choice and determination matter just as much as fitness. The route winds through the quiet countryside of northern France, linking villages, open farmland and the race's most famous sectors, including the daunting Trouée d'Arenberg, Mons-en-Pévèle and the iconic Carrefour de l'Arbre. Each stretch of cobbles has its own character, from relatively forgiving sections to bone-rattling pavé that demands complete focus. Between them, fast asphalt roads offer a welcome chance to recover before the next test begins. The ride ends in unforgettable fashion with a lap of the historic Roubaix Velodrome, where generations of champions have celebrated victory. You can ride the Paris–Roubaix route independently at any time, but the Paris–Roubaix Challenge, held the day before the professional race, offers the closest experience to the real event. With the entire course signposted and thousands of cyclists taking on the legendary cobbles together, it is one of the most authentic ways to experience a true monument of cycling.
