A compact MTB loop above Bratislava combining a steep opening climb with two flowing forest singletracks in the Little Carpathians.
This route packs a surprisingly varied mountain-bike ride into a compact loop in the Little Carpathians above the city. The route starts with its toughest effort: the first three kilometres climb steeply on asphalt towards the ridge. From the ridge, the character changes completely as the route enters the forest and joins the Päťbojársky Trail. This popular singletrack is long enough to feel like a proper trail section but remains flowing and approachable, with a line that suits a broad range of mountain bikers. The route then continues on the other side of the ridge, onto the Krasňanský Trail, another relatively easy forest singletrack of roughly three kilometres. Rated around green to blue difficulty, it offers a smooth and enjoyable finish rather than a technical test. With around 15 kilometres of riding and roughly 400 metres of climbing, this route delivers a short but satisfying mountain-bike outing close to the capital. On your way back, it's worth stopping at the well-known Horaren buffet.
